Story of Our Children and Young People 2022 Survey

The Story of Our Children and Young People (the Story) is a biennial publication which addresses the demand for an evidence-based and outcomes-focused approach to supporting children, young people and their families.
The Story provides governments, non-government organisations and the community with a practical resource to inform and guide policy, planning, decision-making and practice, so we can collectively improve life outcomes for Territorians.
The biennial publication presents comprehensive data on the wellbeing of our children and young people across the six regions through 58 indicators of wellbeing.
The Story also includes an interactive online platform so users can readily access data, including data by sub-region, Aboriginal status and trend, where available.
